Job Overview

We are a Fine Dining Restaurant located in the heart of Ridgefield. Looking for the perfect fit to be the Host of our restaurant.
You are the first person a guest sees and talks to when they arrive. We are hoping to find a nice, honest, hard working and polite individual to fill this position.
Your duties would be to Welcome & warmly greet guests upon arrival. Manage efficient and timely seating of guests, that would also best serve the wait staff. (** This means, to always rotate the guests seating, ensuring each server has a table and to not overwhelm one server with multiple tables at once.) To answer phone calls and take reservations, in addition to taking Togo orders via phone or tablet (Grubhub, Uber Eats, Door Dash, LiteSpeed, Delivery.com) in addition to entering those orders in our POS system for timely pick up.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Warmly and graciously greet guests upon arrival
· When possible, opening the door for guests upon entering or leaving the restaurant.
· Accommodating special seating requests when possible
· Ensuring that all Dietary restrictions have been communicated to server and added to reservation account for future dining
· Upon seating the guests, asking water preference and relaying that to the busser
· Thanking guest for joining us and inviting them to return
· Accurately record guest reservations
· Always be polite with guests and as accommodating as possible
