Main responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and welcoming customers upon arrival.
  • Seating guests promptly, ensuring those with reservations are accommodated.
  • Assigning tables based on seating policies.
  • Escorting guests to their tables, providing menus, and informing them of their server.
  • Serving warm bread and ensuring water glasses are filled during service.
  • Acknowledging guests upon departure in a friendly manner.

Before Service:

  • Ensure menus are ready for each shift.
  • Assist with table setup and communicate large party details to the kitchen.

During Service:

  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival.
  • Assist with bussing and table reset.
  • Seat guests according to restaurant policy for smooth service flow.
  • Present menus, check table presentation, and pour water for guests.
  • Monitor dining room for wait times and communicate with staff as needed.
  • Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.

Reservations:

  • Accommodate special guest requests whenever possible.
  • Understand and adhere to reservation policies.
