Job description:
To ensure a positive dining experience by greeting guests, taking food and drink orders, providing menu recommendations, delivering orders to tables, and processing payments. Key responsibilities include communicating with the kitchen, maintaining cleanliness, handling customer needs, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service: Greet customers warmly, present menus, and offer recommendations or information about menu items and specials.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders, noting any special requests or dietary needs, and enter them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Food & Beverage Delivery: Efficiently deliver prepared meals and drinks to guests, ensuring they receive their correct orders and accompaniments.
- Customer Satisfaction: Regularly check in with tables to ensure guest satisfaction, address any concerns, and resolve complaints professionally.
- Payment Processing: Present bills, process payments, and handle transactions accurately using cash or credit cards.
- Table Maintenance: Clear used plates, reset tables with utensils and napkins, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Kitchen & Bar Communication: Communicate orders and timing to kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure smooth workflow.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other servers, bussers, and front-of-house staff to assist where needed, such as seating guests or running food.
- Menu Knowledge: Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as wine pairings.
- Sanitation & Safety: Adhere to all restaurant sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
