Job Overview

The Iron River Grille is seeking experienced cooks and kitchen staff with a passion for food and hospitality. Line Cooks will operate in the downstairs bar and grille, reporting to the Restaurant Manager.
Cooks must be quick-thinking and fast acting, with the abilitiy to operate in high volume settings and potentially stressful environments.
Certain Requirements Include : Moderate Physical Condition, Weekend Availability, and Some Formal Education (Completed or In Progress)
ServSafe Manager or Food Handler Certification Preferred but not Required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and Lead in Lunch and Dinner Service
  • Execute Food Preparation Tasks according to Recipe
  • Maintaining a Clean and Sanitary Work Environment
  • Following all Guidelines for Safe Food Handling
  • Setting Up Stations with All Necessary Tools and Mise en Place
  • Completing Opening and Closing Tasks for an Orderly Workplace

Skills

  • Proficient Knife Skill
  • Knowledge of Basic Cooking Methods and Practices
    • Grilling, Broiling, Braising, etc.
  • Ability to Operate within a Team
  • Strong Communication Skill
