Responsibilities

  • Drink Preparation: Mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes or customer preferences.
  • Customer Service: Greeting guests, providing recommendations, and engaging with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Bar Maintenance: Keeping the bar top, workstations, and equipment clean and sanitized.
  • Stocking & Inventory: Monitoring stock levels, restocking liquor, beer, wine, and mixers, and assisting with inventory counts.
  • Payment Handling: Operating POS Systems to process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Safety & Compliance: Checking identification to verify legal age and monitoring guests for intoxication to prevent over-service

Skills

  • Multitasking: Managing multiple guests at the bar while simultaneously fulfilling service bar orders.
  • Communication: Interacting effectively with guests and collaborating with kitchen staff.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of drink recipes, wine, and beer, and TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certifications are perferred.

Operational Duties

  • Service Coordination: Preparing drinks for servers to take to dining tables and assisting with food service for guests at the bar.
  • Prep Work: Slicing fruit, preparing garnishes, prepping juices, and ensuring enough ice is available.
  • Opening/Closing: Setting up the bar before service and cleaning/breaking down the bar after hours.
  • Physical Requirements: Standing for 6–12 hour shifts and lifting heavy items like 50lb beer kegs or cases of liquor.
