We’re an Asian buffet under new management, and we’re building a strong, supportive, and guest-focused leadership team. We’re looking for an Assistant Manager who enjoys leading people, solving problems, developing team members, and creating an exceptional experience for both guests and staff.
This role is ideal for someone with previous restaurant or leadership experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility and play a key role in the growth and success of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Support the daily operation of the restaurant and ensure smooth service execution.
- Maintain company standards, policies, procedures, and food safety requirements.
- Supervise team members during shifts and provide operational support when needed.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
Team Development & Staffing
- Assist with recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and employee training.
- Support schedule preparation and shift coverage coordination.
- Coach team members and help monitor employee performance.
- Foster accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
Communication & Administration
- Work closely with the General Manager to support operational improvements and management transition initiatives.
- Follow up on staffing, maintenance, operational, and employee-related matters.
- Maintain reports, checklists, and operational records.
- Assist with implementing new systems, procedures, and organizational projects.
Inventory & Facility Management
- Assist with inventory counts, stock monitoring, and supply ordering.
- Follow up on shortages, inventory discrepancies, and operational supply needs.
- Monitor equipment and facility conditions and coordinate maintenance follow-up when required.
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support a positive guest experience.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and assist with service recovery.
- Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
Additional Responsibilities
- Act as Manager on Duty when assigned.
- Provide regular operational updates to management.
- Support special projects and other leadership initiatives as required.

- Previous restaurant management, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Consistent availability on weekends and statutory holidays is required.
