Event Director – Food Hall, Pickleball & Event Venue

We are a dynamic hospitality and recreation destination combining a modern food hall with 8 chef-driven kitchens, a craft coffee shop and bar, 19 indoor and 2 outdoor pickleball courts, and multiple event spaces designed for everything from corporate meetings to large-scale celebrations. Position Overview

The Event Director is responsible for driving revenue and delivering outstanding client experiences across all event spaces. This role oversees event sales, planning, and execution, working closely with the operations, food & beverage, and pickleball programming teams to create seamless events that reflect the unique character of our venue.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience in hospitality, events, and community engagement, who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Event Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize bookings for corporate events, weddings, social gatherings, tournaments, and community programming.
  • Cultivate relationships with local businesses, event planners, and organizations to drive repeat and referral business.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and packages that align with company goals.

Event Operations & Execution

  • Oversee the planning, logistics, and on-site management of all events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate with food hall vendors, bar/coffee shop, and pickleball operations to deliver integrated event experiences.
  • Manage staffing plans for event coordinators, servers, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, train, and lead the event management team, including event sales managers and coordinators.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive, guest-focused culture across the events department.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Create and manage the event department budget, forecasts, and revenue targets.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize sales and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote event spaces, packages, and community programming.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of event management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in hospitality, F&B, or multi-use venues.
  • Proven track record in event sales and revenue generation.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
