Role Overview
We’re looking for a Cook who takes ownership of their station, works well under pressure, and understands the standards of a high-volume brunch kitchen. You’ll collaborate closely with the Kitchen Manager and culinary team to maintain consistency, timing, and presentation across all menu items.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation at all times
- Assist with prep, stock rotation, and daily line setup
- Ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation standards are met consistently
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control protocols
- Communicate effectively with the Kitchen Manager and team during service
- Support other kitchen stations when needed
- Help maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues promptly
Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen (breakfast/brunch preferred)
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Team player with good communication skills
- Availability on weekends and holidays required
- Valid California Food Handler Card required before start date
