Job Overview
Hope Collective is looking for energetic and highly motivated people to assist in executing weddings and events located in Grand Island and surrounding areas, including The Venue at Railside!
Responsibilities
Setup/Teardown Assistant
- Assist the team in unloading and carefully organizing decor, furniture, and equipment.
- Help assemble and install decor pieces like arches, backdrops, lighting, and tables according to detailed layouts.
- Carefully dismantle and pack up all decor and equipment. Make sure everything is organized and packed for client or to return to inventory storage.
- Keep things efficient, organized, and damage-free.
- Work closely with event managers, designers, and other crew members to ensure a smooth and efficient setup.
Server/Busser
- Setting tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and napkins.
- Serving food and beverages to guests at their tables or through a buffet. Refilling drinks as needed.
- Wiping down tables and chairs. Removing dirty dishes and glassware. Ensuring tables are clean and tidy throughout the event.
- Being friendly and attentive to guests' needs. Working as a team with other servers and staff to ensure smooth service.
Bartender
- Verify guest age for alcohol consumption. Follow alcohol safety and ensure responsible alcohol service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages: This includes cocktails, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area: Keep the bar and surrounding area tidy and hygienic.
- Wash glasses and utensils: Ensure glassware and bar equipment are clean and ready for use.
- Restock bar supplies: Ensure adequate inventory of liquor, mixers, and other bar essentials.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions: Accurately process payments and manage the cash drawer.
Security
- Regularly patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect potential security breaches.
- Maintain a visible presence to monitor criminal activity, underage drinking and intoxicated guests.
- De-escalating potential conflicts and disputes among guests.
Maintaining a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all. - Being prepared to handle emergencies, including fires, evacuations, and medical incidents. Providing first aid and CPR until professional help arrives. Contacting emergency services when necessary.
