Job Overview
Jubie's Creamery Assistant Store Manager - Also known as advisor, fire fighter, expert communicator, rule enforcer, and expert.
Responsibilities
- Live by Jubie’s Mantra, “Think ice cream? Think Jubie’s!” & become an ambassador for the Jubie's Creamery Brand within the community
- Main point of contact for all Team Members & Team Leads at our Troy lcoation. Responsible for all necessary communication sent out to employees
- Expertly handle customer, Team Member, & Team Lead, and issues and complaints and report them to the Regional Manager
- Take weekly inventory and work with Regional Manager & suppliers to order/pick up product
- Expertly accept, put away, and log incoming products
- Main point of contact for suppliers & supplier/product issues for Troy location
- Prepare weekly items to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and complete/delegate tasks appropriately and in a timely manner according to the Manager and Ice Cream Calendars
- Assists in hiring, onboarding, and training new FOH employees including handling Toast, 7Shifts, Employee Master, and retraining initiatives
- Assists with weekly schedules & approving availability & time off with oversight from Regional Manager
- Ensure all scheduling issues are properly addressed & fill where absolutely necessary
- Make daily sales deposits and weekly change requests & main point of contact for any sales or payroll discrepencies
- Clean the soft serve machine and ice cream dipping cabinets & ensure equipment and builidng maintence is completed according to schedule
- Head minor Toast changes and Junk/Seasonal changes according to the Ice Cream Calendar
- Head Employee of the Month program for Troy employees
- Enforce all rules set in Employee Handbook and according to the Miami County Public Health Department
- Work well and communicate frequently with all Managers including other locations and Owners
- Oversee disciplinary policy and decide the appropriate action to take in each disciplinary situation
- Oversee menu item consistency and portion control
- Main point of contact for routine Health inspections and the local health department
- Attend weekly meetings for daily store operations
- Commit to working an average of 35 - 40 hours per week in various roles including but not limited to Team Member, Team Lead, and Assistant Manager. Available hours must include events and a mix of daytime and evening, weekend and weekday, and fulfill the weekly manager calendar
Skills/Requirements
- At least 1 year of of management experience is recommened, but NOT REQUIRED
- Must be 21 or older to apply
- Certified as an Ohio Food Handler through ServSave Level 1 training and able to become certified in Level 2 training
- You will be required to complete a State & Federal background check
- Be competent in Excel, Word, Google Drive, and comfortable with other online tools
- Incredibly organized and able to multi-task effectively
- Exemplify an entrepreneurial spirit, creative mindset, and have a passion for ice cream
- Promote and consistently maintain a team environment
- Be able to adapt in unexpected situations
- Have an eye for detail and comfortable enforcing all Jubie's standards and policies
- Have experience in being a leader and exemplify appropriate leadership skills
- Use critical thinking skills based off training
- Be efficient and accurate with money and figures & able to perform basic math functions
- Effectively communicate with customers, employees, managers, and upper-level managers
- Be comfortable and appropriate when providing constructive feedback to Team Members, Team Leads, and Managers
- Have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly
- You will be required to complete a State & Federal background check
