Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive, and professional service throughout their dining experience.

  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, beverages, and daily specials.

  • Make thoughtful recommendations and use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience.

  • Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders using the POS system.

  • Ensure food and beverages are delivered accurately, efficiently, and with proper presentation.

  • Anticipate guest needs, maintain beverage service, and follow up throughout the meal.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly, involving management when appropriate.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service stations and dining areas.

  • Follow proper cash-handling and payment-processing procedures.

  • Promote daily specials, happy hour offerings, and upcoming restaurant events.

  • Work closely with bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.

  • Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties.

  • Build relationships with returning guests and contribute to a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Previous serving experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of food, beer, wine, and cocktails, or a willingness to learn.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.

  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Professional appearance and a dependable work ethic.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Responsible alcohol service training preferred or willingness to complete required training.
