Job Overview

This position is a combined Facilities / Dock Crew position.
Facilities crew members perform skilled property maintenance, cleaning, and repair.

  • Maintenance & Repair: Perform general maintenance, including carpentry, electrical (changing bulbs, fixing fixtures), plumbing (unstopping toilets, fixing leaks), and painting.
  • Cleaning & Janitorial: Clean building exteriors using a pressure washer. Keep docks in a clean and orderly manner, including removing spider webs. Handle trash disposal.
  • Groundskeeping: Maintain grounds, including landscaping, brush cleanup, and road maintenance.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure building systems are compliant with safety regulations.
  • Tools: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.

Dock crew members act as boaters' first point of contact to provide assistance.

  • Help boaters secure vessels to docks using proper line and fender techniques.
  • Dispense fuel and perform waste tank pump-outs.
  • Check rental boats in and out, inspect for damage, and provide safety briefings.
  • Monitor for hazardous boating conditions and ensure marina safety policies are followed.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, walk on docks, lift heavy items, and work in varied weather conditions.
  • Boating Knowledge: Basic understanding of knots, docking, and boat handling is preferred.
  • Customer Service Skills: Friendly demeanor, professionalism, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Availability: Weekend and holiday availability is required.
