Job Overview
Red Pepper Taqueria is excited to announce the opening of a new position, Catering Manager.
This position would work directly with me to build a strong catering platform. Training will be provided, but the ideal candidate must be ready to develop quickly, and also learn as we go. As mentioned, this is a brand-new position, and we will learn as we go.
Requirements:
- This is a multi-unit opportunity. 75% travel would be the immediate anticipated requirement
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Previous proven sales experience will be weighed heavily. Catering experience is a plus
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
- Always maintain a professional appearance and communication style
Nice to have:
- Experience in working in a cross-functional workspace including marketing and operations.
- Knowledge of Red Pepper Taqueria food and beverage
- Working knowledge of Toast, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Possess own personal computer
A catering manager is responsible for:
- Planning and managing catered events
- Quickly respond to all catering inquiries
- Generate own leads through in-person visits, cold-calls, internet searches
- Consulting with customers to determine their catering requirements
- Planning food and beverage menus
- Coordinating food preparation and serving during events
- Complying with safety standards
- Maintaining an inventory of smallware needed to execute events
- Arranging transportation for food and catering equipment. If needed
Compensation
- This is a commission-based position
- Salary is commensurate with experience
- 35 to 40-hour work week. Schedule is determined by the needs of booked events. The ideal candidate will have full availability including nights and weekends
