Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Stone X Steel recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner, especially during high-volume service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures aligned with ServSafe standards
  • Assist with daily prep, portioning, and labeling of ingredients
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain consistency and quality
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to kitchen leadership
  • Support kitchen efficiency by helping other stations when needed
  • Adhere to opening, closing, and cleaning procedures
  • Uphold Stone X Steel’s brand standards and commitment to exceptional dining experiences

Required Skills

  • Strong cooking and knife skills with the ability to follow recipes accurately

  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • ServSafe Food Handler or Manager Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Prior experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates
