Position Summary

The Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. This role requires efficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tables across indoor and outdoor seating areas while maintaining high standards of hospitality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Greet guests promptly and professionally.
  • Present menus and provide detailed knowledge of food, beverage, and specials.
  • Make recommendations and upsell menu items.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly; escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently.

High-Volume Service Execution

  • Manage multiple tables in both indoor and outdoor sections.
  • Maintain composure and organization during peak service times.
  • Deliver food and beverages quickly and accurately.
  • Monitor table progression and anticipate guest needs.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar to ensure timely service.

Indoor & Outdoor Dining Coordination

  • Adapt service style to accommodate indoor and outdoor guest needs.
  • Be attentive to weather conditions affecting outdoor service (heat, cold, rain, wind).
  • Ensure outdoor tables are properly set, clean, and maintained.
  • Communicate seating changes or delays to hosts and managers.

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with hosts, bussers, bartenders, food runners, and management.
  • Assist in pre-shift meetings and stay informed of daily specials and updates.
  • Support teammates during high-volume periods.
  • Help maintain smooth table turnover.

Side Work & Maintenance

  • Complete assigned opening and closing duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and POS systems.
  • Restock supplies and ensure all service materials are ready for peak hours.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous serving experience preferred (high-volume experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
