ABOUT US:
Volcano Grille is a small, locally owned business in Southwest Las Vegas, NV. We have been serving fast-casual Teppanyaki to our local community since 2009!
THE JOB AT HAND:
Our FOH team is the welcoming face of the restaurant and is responsible for providing our guests a great experience! Our FOH team is comfortable working in a fast-paced food service environment, can switch between tasks, and works well with other FOH and kitchen team members to ensure food quality, accuracy, and great service.
- Loves creating a welcoming environment. Naturally knows the importance of saying "Hello" and "Thank You" to all guests who visit or call.
- Exhibits great guest service skills even when guests are hangry or when we've messed up.
- Understands the importance of knowing the menu and making great recommendations to first-time guests.
- Works with a positive attitude at all times, whether the team is busting through a rush or in downtime and cleaning during lulls.
- Is reliable and shows up to work.
- Promotes the restaurant's menu items and can learn upselling skills and techniques that impact the guest's experience in a positive way.
- Maintains a clean, safe environment for guests and team members.
- Takes direction from leads and management with a positive spirit.
- Excellent cash handling skills.
- Exhibits kindness and is respectful towards others.

SYSTEMS TO SUPPORT YOU:
At Volcano Grille we use the following systems to manage the business. Your knowledge of these systems is a plus! We offer on-the-job training regardless.
- Toast POS
- 7Shifts
- Jolt
- 3rd Party Delivery Partner tablets/systems
REQUIREMENTS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Must be legally able to work in the U.S. and provide proper documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must have a valid and current Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler's Card.
- Ability to stand/walk the service floor for long periods of time.
- Reliable transportation.
- Basic computer skills: we are a technologically advanced restaurant and we rely heavily on our systems for communication. At minimum, a FOH team member must be able to grasp the basic functions of our POS, daily checklist tracking, and scheduling platforms.
- Ability to understand written and verbal English, i.e., basic guest requests related to foodservice.
