AM Baker / Pastry Prep – Springfield, VA

Bozzelli's Deli is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented early-morning Baker / Pastry Prep team member to join our Springfield, VA operation.

Schedule: Starts at 6:00 AM, with earlier start times available if preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Bake and prepare daily pastries, including croissants, muffins, cookies, and other baked goods using pre-mixed or frozen dough.

  • Organize, assemble, and prepare baked goods for daily operations.

  • Package, label, date, and organize pastries for same-day or next-day distribution to our locations.

  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Optionally assist with morning front-of-house setup, including coffee, tea, and light customer service.

  • Opportunity to assist with local pastry deliveries if interested and holding a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience is required.

  • Commercial baking or pastry preparation experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working early mornings.

  • Able to work independently and stay organized.

  • Knowledge of food safety practices; ServSafe certification is a plus.

  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Pay & Benefits
