Timuquana Country Club is a traditional private club located on the banks of the St. John’s River in Jacksonville, Florida. Open six days a week, 12 months per year, the 103 year-old, member-owned club has 1,100 member families. Facilities include a 50,000 square foot clubhouse including three member dining areas and private function rooms, large outdoor event and recreation lawn, wrap around patio, floating dock, 18-hole Donald Ross golf course, golf practice facility, eight outdoor tennis courts, fitness center with group exercise studio, locker rooms with dry saunas, and a resort style, heated zero entry swimming pool overlooking the St. John’s River. The Club is in the process of completing its next phase of its facility master plan; the Golf Performance Center and Pickleball Facility set to open May 2026.

Job Summary:
Timuquana Country Club is seeking a server for any/all dining outlets offered at the Club. A server at Timuquana Country Club is responsible for working closely with runners and bussers; while providing a warm, comfortable, and relaxing dining experience inspired by the gracious spirit of Southern hospitality, at any time of the day. In this role, you will work in a safe and positive environment alongside supportive teammates with the opportunity to create a home away from home and offer personalized experiences for members/guests, to create moments that matter.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

  • Provide warm, discreet, and efficient table service in all dining outlets.
  • Guide members through menus and daily specials with expert knowledge.
  • Understand and anticipate needs and personalize service based on member preferences; be attentive, listen carefully, be present, and follow through; provide exceptional service
  • Maintain proper table settings and cleanliness before, during, and after service.
  • Follow club standards for timing, presentation, and service etiquette.
  • Respond to member feedback promptly and with professionalism and urgency.
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures, according to State and Local food safety standards.
  • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow-through and response.
  • Support your fellow team members and contribute to a healthy, positive culture.

Ideal Qualifications, Abilities, and Principles:
Education & Experience

  • At least one year of experience in a similar club, restaurant, or customer service setting (food service industry experience preferred).
  • At least 18 years of age or older.
  • Serv Certification (club can help you acquire)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and/or present information and respond to questions from member/guests, managers, and peers.
  • Ability to identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and problem solve.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task and work as a team.
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities.
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipates the needs of others and is willing to acquire new skills.
  • Willingness to be taught and trained.
  • Well organized and detailed oriented.
  • High cleanliness standards.

Availability:

  • This position is available for full time individuals only. Candidates must be willing to have flexible schedules and must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shift will differ in length.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays are a must.

Estimated Base Pay Range:

  • Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
