About the Role
We’re seeking a Front of House Manager to lead and support the day-to-day operations of our customer-facing café space. This person will help ensure smooth workflows, top-tier customer service, and a strong team culture, while also contributing to our business goals and social mission.
You’ll be at the center of a fast-paced, people-first environment — developing systems, guiding staff, and leading by example to create a space that feels welcoming, efficient, and aligned with our values.
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily FOH operations and ensure quality control on service and timing
  • Develop and manage staff schedules in line with budget and business needs
  • Lead FOH staff training, especially around customer service, empathy, and responsiveness
  • Foster a service culture that prioritizes teamwork, positivity, and consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards using operational checklists
  • Support revenue growth through efficient workflows, specials, and seasonal promotions
  • Track sales and operational data to inform decisions and improve performance
  • Oversee FOH supplies and inventory within budget
  • Collaborate with kitchen, marketing, and leadership teams to align on goals
  • Ensure equipment is functional, safe, and well maintained
  • Provide cultural leadership and model a solution-focused, collaborative attitude
  • Assist with social media management in coordination with the marketing team

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience working closely with coffee in a café or restaurant environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage teams and support real-time training and growth
  • Skilled in customer service and building a warm, inclusive environment
  • Comfort with scheduling, ordering, and basic business operations
  • Familiarity with social enterprises, learning-based workspaces, or similar is an asset
  • Positive, calm, and adaptable — especially during busy periods or unexpected challenges

Salary Compensation will be negotiated based on experience
