Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our team. As a Grab and Go Restaurant Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive outstanding food in a timely manner. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and upholding our high-quality food standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our customers.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Manage inventory and notify management of any low stock items in a timely manner.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout the cooking process.
- Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
- Uphold a positive and professional attitude, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and maintain composure under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.
