Job Summary

The Food Runner supports the front-of-house team by delivering food from the kitchen to guests quickly, accurately, and safely. In a Korean BBQ environment, this role is essential in maintaining table flow, ensuring grill items are delivered at the right time, and providing a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver food and side dishes (banchan) to tables promptly and accurately
  • Assist servers by communicating table needs and special requests
  • Ensure correct grill items are delivered in the proper sequence
  • Maintain food presentation and safety standards while transporting dishes
  • Refill side dishes and assist with table setup and reset as needed
  • Keep service stations clean, stocked, and organized
  • Support bussing tables and maintaining dining room cleanliness
  • Respond quickly to guest or server requests in a professional manner
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic knowledge of Korean BBQ items is a plus (training provided)
  • Ability to carry hot plates, trays, and move quickly and safely
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 30–40 lbs
  • Work near hot grills and kitchen equipment
