- Summary: As a vital part of our kitchen team, you will prepare high-quality food, maintain cleanliness, and ensure efficient kitchen operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Description:
- Back of House (BOH) encompasses all stations that are not visible to our guests, including the kitchen, prep area, and dish pit. Training for BOH will cover all positions within the kitchen. There is a minimum requirement of 5 training shifts for your chosen position, and after your 5th training shift, you'll be given an oral examination to determine if more training is required. Training shifts are $12 an hour without tips.
- There is a 60 day probationary period, during which No Call, No Shows are an automatic termination, no exceptions. We define No Call, No Shows as failure to notify management of absence at least 2 hours before your scheduled shift.
- Please request off, update your availability, and always try to trade or release shifts you cannot work. After the 60 days, you are required to take your ServSafe test, which is required by law to handle food. It will be covered by our restaurant. You may choose to take it on the clock or off.
Responsibilities:
- All shifts labeled BOH are required to work together as a team to complete duties unless otherwise specified.
- Cash tips are split communally by shift for FOH & BOH (excluding managers or those on salary), and card tips are split communally by day and hours worked for FOH & BOH (excluding managers).
- All BOH staff are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
Duties:
- Prep Cook: You are responsible for preparing ingredients for pizzas and other menu items. This includes chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and ready for service. You must follow recipes precisely and maintain proper food storage practices.
- Pizza Maker: Your primary responsibility is crafting pizzas. This involves stretching dough, applying sauce and toppings, and ensuring each pizza meets our quality standards. You must work efficiently to keep up with orders during busy periods.
- Line Cook: You are in charge of preparing non-pizza menu items such as appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. You must maintain your station, manage multiple orders simultaneously, and ensure all dishes are prepared to specification.
- Dishwasher: You are responsible for keeping all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes clean. This includes operating the dishwasher, hand-washing certain items, and ensuring the dish pit remains organized and efficient.
- General Clean: Please keep all stations clean and organized throughout your shift. This includes wiping down surfaces, sweeping floors, and properly storing ingredients and equipment.
- Deep Clean: This happens at the end of the day. This is more involved and includes thorough cleaning of all equipment, mopping floors, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring the kitchen is ready for the next day's service.
- Inventory Management: All BOH staff are responsible for notifying management when supplies are running low and assisting with stock rotation to minimize waste.
