We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating dishes to the highest standards, ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for food, and maintain a strong commitment to cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Cooking & Plating: Cook and plate food items to order, adhering to the restaurant's specifications and presentation standards.
  • Station Setup: Set up and stock food stations with the necessary ingredients and equipment for smooth kitchen operation.
  • Time Management: Work efficiently to meet the demands of a high-volume kitchen, ensuring all orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Inventory & Stocking: Help maintain stock levels, and report shortages or low stock to management.
  • Cleanliness & Sanitation: Follow proper food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure effective communication and smooth kitchen operations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard in terms of taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Adaptability: Adjust to varying menu changes, special requests, and customer preferences while maintaining a positive attitude and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years working as a line cook or in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely to ensure consistent quality and taste.
  • Team Player: Must be able to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and under the direction of chefs and management.
  • Communication: Clear communication skills to ensure effective teamwork and customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus.
  • Experience with high-volume cooking or fine dining is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
