ABOUT TURBO SPORTS AND PERFORMANCE CENTRE CORP.
Turbo Sports and Performance Centre Corp. is the first consolidated multi-use indoor sports facility in the Southern Georgian Bay corridor. Opening November 2026 at 140 Mountain Road, Collingwood, Turbo brings together a FIFA-certified indoor field, performance training, studio programming, leagues, and community events under one roof built for the people who live here year-round.
This is a community that has always punched above its weight when it comes to sport and movement. What it has never had is a facility built to match it. We’re changing that and we’re building a contractor team of coaches and instructors who are serious about their craft and the people in front of them.
Please note this role will involve flexibility to prime time schedules which will vary across mornings, evenings and weekends.
THE ROLE
Turbo is looking for skilled coaches and instructors to join our facility as independent contractors, delivering group fitness classes, specialty programming, sport-specific coaching, or performance training across our studio and gym spaces.
This is not a drop-in-and-disappear arrangement. When you’re on the floor at Turbo, you’re part of what members experience. You represent the standard, and you’re trusted to run your space like it’s yours, because while you’re here, it is.
In addition to delivering your sessions, contractors who hold the first or last booking in their space are responsible for opening or closing that space during that window — the Performance Studio, Flex Studio, gym, or whichever area you’re assigned to. Everything you need to do that is documented, straightforward, and trained before your first solo shift.
WHAT YOU BRING
- You care about the people in front of you. You don’t need to have all the answers — you need to show up genuinely, read the room, and make members feel seen. That’s the foundation everything else builds on.
- You’re a collaborator. Turbo is a team environment and the best sessions, the best ideas, and the best outcomes happen when people work together. You’re here to contribute, learn from the people around you, and make the whole thing better.
- You’re open to growth. Nobody walks in knowing everything and we’re not looking for someone who does. We’re looking for someone who is curious, receptive to feedback, and genuinely interested in getting better at their craft alongside a team invested in the same thing.
- You lead with humility. The members in front of you are at all different stages. So are we. The coaches who thrive here are the ones who meet people where they are — not the ones who need to be the most experienced in the room.
- You’re dependable. Members book your sessions in advance and plan their week around showing up. Consistency and follow-through are how you build trust, and trust is what makes the community here feel the way it does.
- Credentials and experience are genuinely valued — and if you’re still building yours, we want to hear from you anyway. We support growth in the right people and have pathways to help you get there.
- Insurance. All contractors carry their own general and professional liability insurance before their first session. We’ll walk you through the requirements at onboarding.
- A GST/HST registration number or confirmation of applicable exemption. Your accountant can help sort this out; we’ll confirm our invoicing setup during onboarding.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Per-class compensation with attendance bonuses — rates, tiers, and bonuses are outlined in the Turbo Growth Path guide shared at onboarding. Pricing is confidential and not published publicly.
- Free facility membership for the duration of your contract, including drop-in sports access, open gym, and classes outside your scheduled teaching blocks.
- 15% off Turbo apparel and merchandise, including a friends and family discount.
- 15% off of facility rentals (think birthday parties, room rental to run your own programs outside of Turbo classes, etc.)
- A real path forward. Contractors who demonstrate strong performance, member retention, and alignment with Turbo’s values are the first people we talk to when staff or expanded programming roles open up.
- Access to paid mentorship and professional development through the Turbo Growth Path program — including curriculum workshops, peer teaching, and tier advancement reviews.
- A facility and a team that actually give a damn about the product. You’re not filling a slot in a franchise schedule. You’re building something with us.
Turbo operates a small, intentional contractor team. Compensation details are shared privately during onboarding and are not discussed publicly or among team members. This structure exists to ensure fair access to hours and to protect everyone’s earning potential. We ask all contractors to respect this.
