Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Relations & Seating

  • The Welcome: Greet every guest with immediate, genuine energy. You set the "vibe" for their entire meal.
  • Strategic Seating: Manage the waitlist and floor plan using our seating system. You must balance the needs of the guests with the capacity of the kitchen and the server rotation.
  • First-Timer Orientation: Briefly explain the KPOT concept (All-You-Can-Eat BBQ & Hot Pot) to new guests while walking them to their table.

2. Communication & Coordination

  • Server Synergy: Maintain constant communication with the server team and bussers. You must know exactly which tables are "bussing," "paying," or "available" at all times.
  • Management Interaction: Immediately alert management to any guest concerns, large party arrivals, or significant "bottlenecks" in the lobby.
  • Phone Etiquette: Handle high volumes of calls for reservations, inquiries, and directions with a professional and helpful tone.

3. Lobby & Station Maintenance

  • Zone Control: Keep the lobby and entryway spotless, organized, and welcoming.
  • Menu Management: Ensure all physical menus are clean, sanitized, and properly stocked at the host stand.

Professional Standards & Conduct

  • Uniform: Must be in full uniform (KPOT Shirt, Black Pants, Name Tag, and Non-Slip Shoes) at the start of every shift.
  • Device Policy: Cell phones are strictly prohibited on the floor. Laptops for schoolwork are not permitted during shifts.
  • Punctuality: "On time" means being at the host stand and ready to work at your scheduled start time.
  • Maturity: Maintain a professional "poker face." Even when the lobby is full, you must treat every guest and coworker with respect and avoid public altercations.

Requirements

  • The "Hustle": Ability to stand and move quickly for 6–8 hours.
  • Mental Sharpness: Ability to memorize server sections and manage a complex rotation under pressure.
  • Team Player: A "no task is too small" attitude—willing to help pre-bus or run water if the lobby is clear.
  • Availability: Must be available for late-night shifts and weekends.
