Position Summary:

The dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen. This individual ensures that dishes, cookware, and utensils are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use. Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash and Sanitize: Clean dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans promptly and according to health and safety regulations.
  • Operate Dishwashing Equipment: Safely operate commercial dishwashing machines and hand-washing stations.
  • Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness: Clean and maintain dishwashing areas, kitchen equipment, and floors to ensure a sanitary working environment.
  • Waste Management: Remove trash, recyclables, and compost regularly to designated disposal areas.
  • Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and stocking deliveries as needed.
  • Team Support: Work with other staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and assist chefs and prep cooks as required.
  • Compliance: Adhere to safety and health regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to stay focused under pressure.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the shift.
  • Must handle hot items and cleaning chemicals safely.

Work Schedule:

  • Shifts may vary based on the needs of the restaurant, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
