Monona Bakery & Eatery is looking for dependable, hardworking Dishwasher / Prep Cook team members to join our back-of-house team.

We’re a busy, locally owned neighborhood bakery and restaurant serving scratch-made baked goods, breakfast, lunch, and Latin American dishes. We’re looking for people who take pride in keeping a kitchen clean, organized, and moving—and who are happy to jump in wherever the team needs support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

• Keep dish, prep, and back-of-house areas clean and organized.

• Assist with basic food prep, such as washing, chopping, portioning, and stocking ingredients.

• Restock dishes and supplies throughout the shift.

• Take out trash and recycling and assist with routine cleaning.

• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.

• Help with opening, closing, and additional prep tasks as needed.

• Work collaboratively with cooks, bakers, and teammates during busy service.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Restaurant or commercial kitchen experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right person. More important to us is someone who is:

• Reliable and ready to work.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

• Organized and attentive to cleanliness.

• Willing to learn and take direction.

• A supportive, respectful teammate.

• Able to stay active and on their feet throughout a shift.

AVAILABILITY

Open availability is strongly preferred. We especially need team members who can work a combination of mornings, evenings, and/or weekends. Full-time and part-time applicants are welcome, with preference given to candidates with broad availability.

PAY & PERKS

• $15–$18/hour starting pay, based on experience.
