Responsibilities 

  • Mixing and Serving Drinks:
  •     Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.  
    
  •     Ensure drinks are made accurately, efficiently, and consistently to maintain quality and customer satisfaction.  
    
  •     Monitor and control the level of alcohol consumption, adhering to legal drinking age and responsible serving guidelines.  
    
  • Customer Service:  
    
  •     Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patrons, taking orders, and engaging in friendly conversation.  
    
  •     Make recommendations on drink selections and offer guidance on menu items.  
    
  •     Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and courteously.  
    
  • Cash Handling and Point-of-Sale (POS) Operations:  
    
  •     Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately and securely.  
    
  •     Process transactions using the POS system, including ringing up orders, processing payments, and issuing receipts.  
    
  •     Maintain an organized and tidy cash register area, including balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.  
    
  • Inventory Management:  
    
  •     Monitor and maintain inventory levels of beverages, garnishes, and supplies.  
    
  •     Order and restock inventory as needed to ensure sufficient stock levels.  
    
  •     Rotate stock and check for product freshness and quality regularly.  
    
  • Bar Maintenance and Cleanliness:  
    
  •     Keep the bar area clean, sanitized, and well-organized at all times.  
    
  •     Clean and polish glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.  
    
  •     Perform routine maintenance tasks on bar equipment, such as cleaning draft beer lines or replacing kegs.  
    
  • Menu Knowledge and Upselling:  
    
  •     Have a thorough understanding of the restaurant's drink menu, including specialty cocktails, wines, and beers.  
    
  •     Educate customers about different drink options and make suggestions based on their preferences.  
    
  •     Upsell premium or specialty drinks to increase sales and enhance the customer experience.  
    
  • Team Collaboration:  
    
  •     Work collaboratively with other restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.  
    
  •     Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate orders, manage wait times, and address customer needs efficiently.

  •     Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to serving alcohol, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age.
