Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through the POS system.
  • Engage with customers to provide excellent service, take drink orders, and offer recommendations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, restocking as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when applicable.
  • Assist in training new bartenders or bar staff as needed.

Skills 

  • Previous experience as a bartender in a nightclub or restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Strong cash handling skills with experience using POS systems.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
  • Knowledge of brewing techniques is a plus.
  • Familiarity with retail math concepts related to inventory management is advantageous.
  • Experience in the food industry is beneficial, particularly in high-volume environments.
  • A commitment to food safety practices is essential.
