POSITION PURPOSE:
Our family operates a nearly 30-year-old Prime Steak restaurant and is looking for pantry Chefs to join our team.
The cooks at these locations prepare standard and special menus, recipes and meals for daily operations and special events.
Hours generally can be 3pm to 11pm (though we finish early some nights). These due vary depending on business levels and the applied for the position. We are currently closed Sunday and Monday. We would expect open availability for the rest of the open days Tuesday-Saturday.
ESSENTIAL COOK JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for daily preparation and cooking of foods; maintaining clean and organized work area; putting received food orders away in an organized manner; maintaining the cleanliness of walk-in, dry storage, and prep areas; assisting with end of shift clean up including floors, counters, trash, and cardboard; maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment; attend meetings and training.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years or older, possess general cooking knowledge--experience cooking high-quality steaks a plus; must have basic knowledge of health department standards and food handling and preparation; must have basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, i.e. steamers, oven, slicers, knives, etc.
