Sophia's Kitchen is a locally owned, full-service restaurant in North Scottsdale featuring Italian cuisine with an inviting dining room and a patio with a mountain view. Our menu features Italian classics, homemade pasta, bruschetta, wood-fired pizza, seafood, salads and more. Full bar including speciality cocktails. Open daily at 11am.

We are currently hiring for the position of LINE COOK. Both day time & evening shifts either full or part time available.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service
  • Cook menu items in a cooperation with the rest of staff
  • Answer, report and follow chefs insturctions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food come out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Skills

  • Proven restaurant cooking experience
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work in an. enviroment exposed to cold, heat & water
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accurracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
  • Responsible and trustworthy
