POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provides friendly, knowledgeable, accurate and prompt customer service at all times
- Remains informed of shop events, marketing and promotions and actively promotes them with guests
- Follows opening, mid-shift and/or closing task lists independently to completion
- Sets up station with product, smallwares, condiments and utensils
- Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment and must follow all regulatory rules and safety procedures
- Enters order into POS (point-of-sale) via touchscreen on ~15" monitor showing ~12pt font
- Reads food order from printed receipt or receives verbal instructions regarding printed order receipt
- Follows all recipes and/or product directions for preparing, reheating and serving food items (soaked oats, parfaits, sandwiches, beverages)
- Utilizes basic kitchen equipment such as a blender, espresso machine, drip coffee brewer, microwave convection oven, dishwasher and ice machine
- Prepares and serves food from counter and refrigerated case for customers promptly
- Uses equipment according to operating instructions;; maintaining supplies; performing daily cleaning; notifying supervisor in event of any equipment malfunction
- Maintains shop cleanliness to include guest seating, bathrooms, core area, kitchen and 25ft surrounding space located in building
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- With training, applicant must be able to operate basic kitchen equipment required in the preparation of all drinks and food items offered on our menus
- Ability to affectively communicate orders, policies and procedures with guests and/or coworkers
- Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions
- Must demonstrate competency in math skills required to accurately handle cash transactions
SUPERVISION:
GSR will work under direct supervision and must follow all standard procedures as well as verbal or written instructions given by the supervisor and/or manager
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is conducted in an area that is adequately lighted and ventilated
- Works in a kitchen environment
- Personal protective equipment is required and will be provided for employees performing certain job tasks as
outlined in our safety policies and as required by government regulations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Manual dexterity. Ability to stand for four hours or more at a time. Ability to do frequent walking and bending. Ability to carry or lift supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
