Food Truck Associate

Part-Time | $14 - $17.50/hr + Participation in our Tip Share Program | Must Be 18+ with Valid Drivers License

OUR STORY

Since 1979, Little Italy Ristorante has been more than a pizza place—it’s been a cornerstone of Groveport, built on family, integrity, and community. What began as a local grocery store became a gathering place where scratch-made recipes, familiar faces, and genuine care came together. Passed down through generations, our mission has always been the same: hire great people, serve unforgettable food, and give back to the community that made us who we are.

IS THIS ROLE FOR YOU?

Are you looking to be part of something high-energy, mobile, and community-facing?
Do you thrive under pressure, stay positive on your feet, and take pride in getting sh*t done the right way?
Can you be the trusted right hand to our Food Truck Lead—supporting big events, stepping in as backup driver, and helping us deliver hospitality on wheels?
If you’re nodding your head, you might be a perfect fit for our Food Truck Associate..

WHY JOIN LITTLE ITALY?

Food Truck Associates are the heartbeat of our off-site food truck events. You’ll assist the Food Truck Lead, take ownership of the guest experience, and be trained to step up when needed. This isn’t just a helper job—it’s your chance to grow into a leadership path while learning every part of the mobile operation.

What Makes Us Different:

  • Legacy-Driven, Future-Focused – Honoring our roots while building something worth owning—for guests and team alike.
  • We’re Bigger Than a Booth – Community events, media moments, food truck experiences—our brand lives beyond the dining room.
  • People First, Always – We grow team members into leaders and treat every shift as a chance to build careers, not just paychecks.

Benefits:

  • 401(k) with 50% employer match up to 6% (after one year)
  • As a company, we run on EOS—so we’re a collaborative, strategic, and winning team (i.e. no more meetings that just waste your time—promise!)
  • Flexible days off, typically back-to-back
  • Daily employee meal
  • 25% employee discount for you and your party
  • Leadership coaching and career growth opportunities
  • The opportunity to grow quickly with a forward-thinking company that regularly reinvests in itself and its people
  • Attendance at fun, “State of the Company” events three times a year

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  1. Support the Show
Work alongside the Food Truck Lead to execute smooth, efficient events. From setup to breakdown, you’ll keep things moving, help manage flow, and pitch in wherever needed.
  2. Run the Truck (When Needed)
As the backup Event Captain, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the food truck—event timing, prep, guest service, and driving. You’ll lead shifts when the Lead is off and make sure the brand stays strong.
  3. Serve With Intention
Whether you’re handing out pies or chatting with guests, you represent Little Italy. Stay guest-focused, sharp, and team-oriented. Create experiences that feel special, not transactional.
  4. Stay Ready & Organized
Help with pack-outs, inventory, cleanliness, and keeping the truck event-ready. Follow systems, complete checklists, and never cut corners.
  5. Keep It Safe & Clean
Follow all food safety rules and hygiene standards. Treat the truck and equipment like it’s your own.

WILL YOU FIT IN HERE?

We’re not building a team—we’re building a legacy. Our restaurants run on values, not vibes—and if you don’t live these values, you won’t last long. These aren’t just words we shout in a huddle. They’re who we are, what we expect, and how we lead.

You’ll fit right in if this sounds like you:

You’re Built to Serve.
You find joy in helping people. Whether it’s a guest, a coworker, or a stranger—we don’t walk past problems, we solve them with heart. If the words “That’s not my job” live rent-free in your brain, this ain’t it.

You Care Like It’s Yours.
You treat the business, the space, the product, and the people like you own it. Details matter. You don’t walk over a mess, you clean it. You don’t ignore a bad guest experience, you fix it. That’s ownership.

You’re All-In.
You show up on time, you show up with energy, and you don’t half-ass the mission. You take feedback, push yourself, and do things the right way, even when no one’s watching. Especially then.

You Stay Open.
Egos get checked at the door. You’re coachable, curious, and willing to learn from anyone. You don’t need to be the loudest, just the most growth-minded.

You Bring the Fire.
You show up with positive energy, team spirit, and enthusiasm. Guests feel it. The team feeds off it. We don’t do dull here—we bring the vibe every shift.

And if that’s not you?
If you’re just looking for a clock-in-and-coast gig, or if you like drama, excuses, or hiding behind “that’s how I’ve always done it”—this won’t feel good. And that’s fine. We’re not for everyone. But if you’re about getting better, serving hard, and building something bigger than yourself—then welcome home

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Event crew: 6+ months in food service, catering, or events preferred but not required
  • Backup Event Captain (optional): 1+ year in hospitality, plus a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Comfortable learning how to drive a 33ft food truck.
  • Must be able to lift 40–50 lbs, move fast, and stay on your feet
  • Team-first mentality with coachable energy
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and event shifts
  • Bonus if you’re interested in growing into a Lead role
