A barista demonstrates a knowledge of all products served and serves all products with friendly, individualized attention to the customer. They are responsible for creating and maintaining a positive environment that encourages community development within the area we serve, as well as amongst team members.
They assist with inventory controls and help to maintain proper inventory levels of supplies. A barista fulfills any other duties assigned by the Manager and represents Stone Tower and its vendors in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
Coffee Preparation: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and customer satisfaction. A barista maintains the recipe set by the Head Barista.
Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on coffee selections. Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons.
Inventory Management: Monitor coffee and supply inventory, ensuringavailability and freshness. Collaborate with the Head Barista to maintain adequate stock levels. This will include: stocking and rotating all inventory, keeping stock areas organized and functional, rotating and “facing” the merchandising areas, etc.
Quality Control: Uphold the coffee shop's quality standards by consistently preparing coffee beverages following Stone Tower recipes (including temperature and presentation).
Operational Support: Execute opening, mid shift, and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily equipment maintenance. Perform any other duties or tasks assigned by the manager to maintain smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
