About the Role
You'll sell made-to-order iced coffee directly to beachgoers from a mobile cart. You're not behind a counter, you're walking the beach, finding customers, and bringing the coffee shop to them.
Responsibilities
- Prep your cart each morning with supplies (ice, coffee, creamers, syrups)
- Navigate your assigned beach zone and engage with customers
- Make iced coffee to order and handle cash/card payments
- Manage your own time, breaks, and movement throughout the day
- Clean your cart and count your cash at end of shift
Skills Required
- Physical endurance 7+ hours on sand, in heat, pushing a 400lb+ cart
- Friendly personality; You'll interact with hundreds of people daily
- Self-motivated. No one's watching you on the beach; you manage yourself
- Accurate with money, as Cash handling is part of every shift
- Calm under pressure. Peak hours mean lines; you need to enjoy the rush
A Day in the Life
Arrive at 8:30 AM to start preparing your cart. Get dropped off at the beach around 10 AM. Spend your day walking through your assigned zone, stopping near crowded areas, making coffee, chatting with customers. Peak hours hit around noon, at which point you'll likely be very busy making coffee! You coordinate with a restocker to request more supplies, and continue selling coffee. The end of the day is near, and the restocker lets you know you're being picked up soon. You head off the beach, get picked up, clean up your cart, and head home!
