Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Operational Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of both our coffee shop and restaurant establishments. As the Operational Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all aspects of both businesses, from staffing and inventory management to customer service and financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operations Oversight: Manage and optimize all operational processes and procedures for both the coffee shop and restaurant to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and support staff members across both establishments, including baristas, servers, kitchen staff, and support staff, to ensure high levels of performance and customer service.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels for both locations, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain optimal product availability.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of product quality, cleanliness, and hygiene in both the coffee shop and restaurant, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally in both settings.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics for both establishments, including sales, expenses, and profitability, and implement strategies to achieve budgetary targets.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for staff members across both locations and provide ongoing coaching and development to enhance their skills and job satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies in both the coffee shop and restaurant to create a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster open and effective communication with staff, management, and other stakeholders across both establishments to coordinate activities, address issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a managerial role, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry, managing multiple locations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven track record of achieving operational targets and goals
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and act on financial and performance data
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and restaurant operations (preferred but not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field (preferred but not required)
