Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista Cashier to join our vibrant Brew Crew team. This role combines the art of crafting high-quality coffee and tea beverages with providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food and beverage service, possess strong cash handling skills, and be passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is preferred, along with excellent time management and sales skills.
Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following established recipes and quality standards
  • Operate POS systems including Aloha and Micros for accurate order processing and cash handling
  • Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide friendly customer service throughout their visit
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food safety and food handling procedures
  • Assist in food preparation and serving light food items as needed
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively during busy periods using strong time management skills
  • Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations at all times
  • Support team members in daily operations to ensure smooth service flow

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly desirable, especially within café or retail environments
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
  • Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience in coffee preparation, serving beverages, and food handling is a plus
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
