Qargo Coffee is an Italian espresso and pastry cafe at 707 E Ocean Blvd in downtown Long Beach. We're looking for a Shift Lead who takes ownership: you'll run the floor, lead a small team and make sure every shift hits our standards.

Schedule: a mix of opening shifts (5:30 AM start) and closing shifts (to 5:30 PM), including weekends. Part-time to full-time, about 25-35 hours per week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Run the shift: set the team, assign tasks, cover breaks and keep the bar moving during rushes

• Open or close the store, including cash counts, deposits and the end-of-day POS reconciliation

• Lead the opening, mid and closing checklists on our store tablet and sign off on food safety checks

• Coach baristas on drink quality, speed and guest service

• Make sure the team takes California meal and rest breaks on time

• Handle guest issues and DoorDash orders, and keep the manager updated in the Log Book

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ year as a barista; shift lead or supervisor experience preferred

• Calm, organized and dependable, with a strong sense of ownership

• Comfortable with cash handling and a POS

• California Food Handler card (Food Manager certification a plus)

• Open availability including 5:30 AM opens and weekends
