have experience using OpenTable or similar (proficiency using OpenTable preferred)
The Host/ Hostess is the first representative of the restaurant that guests encounter as they enter. The host/ hostess should be a representation of the overall hospitality of the staff of the restaurant by always being welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.
The Host/ Hostess at Scout is responsible for greeting guests, seating guests, assigning tables to waitstaff, estimating wait times for guests, maintaining a wait list, managing the flow of guests, monitoring the restaurant for empty and clean tables, moving tables together to accommodate large parties, answering phones, making reservations, taking and entering to-go orders, cleaning and organizing the FOH, ensuring that guests are comfortable, and assisting FOH staff as needed throughout the shift.
This is an hourly position that receives tips, with a base pay of $8/hr.
Total Compensation is $12-$19+/ hour (including tips).
