Aiello’s Restaurant is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Host/Hostess & Cashier to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position offers flexibility and variety in your day-to-day responsibilities, as you will serve as both the first point of contact for our guests and the final touchpoint of their dining experience. Whether welcoming guests at the door or assisting with payments at the register, you will play a vital role in ensuring each customer enjoys a smooth, enjoyable visit.
Duties
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating or takeout orders.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
• Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries, reservations, or to-go orders.
• Communicate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure efficient and timely service.
• Operate the Aloha POS system to process dine-in, takeout, and payment transactions accurately.
• Assist guests with questions about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Handle guest concerns or requests promptly and courteously.
• Keep the host stand and cashier station clean and organized, ensuring menus and promotional materials are current.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to support a positive and efficient work environment.
Requirements
• Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or customer-facing roles is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems (especially Aloha POS) is a bonus.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a team-first mindset.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
