Position Summary
The Waitstaff position is responsible for creating memorable dining experiences by providing friendly, efficient service with attention to detail and a smile. You’ll take orders, deliver food, and ensure every guest leaves full and happy — because at Shellie’s, every customer is family.
Key Responsibilities
· Greet guests promptly with a smile and warm welcome.
· Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them correctly into the POS system.
· Deliver food quickly and check back within two minutes of delivery.
· Refill drinks, offer dessert, and make every table feel cared for.
· Manage your section with a sense of ownership — clean, organized, and ready.
· Handle guest concerns or mistakes with professionalism and the L.A.S.T. method (Listen, Apologize, Solve, Thank).
· Communicate clearly with kitchen, hosts, and bussers to keep service flowing smoothly.
· Complete side-work, cleaning tasks, and assist teammates whenever needed.
· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
· Uphold our “Hospitality First” culture at every opportunity.

· Know the full menu, including sides, specials, and popular substitutions.
· Be able to manage a five-table rotation confidently.
· Deliver food and beverages within expected time standards.
· Demonstrate strong communication with kitchen and hosts.
· Receive at least one positive comment or mention from a guest or teammate.
· Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
