The Waypoint Restaurant & Bar is looking to hire an experienced line cook

to join our talented team. As a line cook, you will be preparing high-quality

meals that meet the chef’s specifications & standards.

You will play an essential role in contributing to our customer service

experience by bringing a positive, hard working attitude, and a desire to

continually learn and prepare amazing food.

Line Cook Responsibilities:

● Ensure your preparation station and the kitchen are set up and

stocked before and after every service

● Prepare all components of each dish on the menu

● Create simple daily specials: including daily soup and sandwich

features

● Report to the Executive Chef when necessary and follow instructions

● Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety

standards

● Clean prep areas throughout service

● Stock inventory and supplies as orders are received

● Execute proper cooking methods and presentations during service

● Work as a team by helping in all aspects of the kitchen as needed -

From assisting your dishwasher, to taking initiative to organize and

clean during slower periods

Line Cook Requirements:

● High school diploma or equivalent qualification

● Certificate in culinary arts or related field preferred

● A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

● Excellent communication, multitasking and organizational skills

● Works well in a fast paced environment and under pressure

● Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
