Responsibilities
Here at PIE.ZAA, we live with the philosophy that no one is above any job and everybody contributes to everything. To that end, the following job responsibilities will be broken down into five categories:
General
- Follow procedures in the Employee Training Manual
- Perform opening and closing duties and record them on the task application
- Keep the shop clean and tidy, including wiping down counters, sweeping floors, and dishwashing, while maintaining a hygienic work environment
- Assist in putting away food deliveries
- Assist in putting away box deliveries
- Ensuring bathroom cleanliness is maintained throughout the shift
- Sorting and proper disposal of trash & recycling
Exposition - Accurately distribute orders during service
- Control the pacing of customer orders by sensibly grouping reheats and pies in order of priority
- Ensure delivery drivers have the entirety of the customer order
Register - Operate the P.O.S system to process orders and handle financial transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging guests with a genuine interest, answering questions, and taking orders accurately
- Upsell customers on items such as dipping sauces and beverages with each transaction
- Serve and maintain knowledge of rotating beverage offerings
PIE Station - Stretch dough according to brand standard instructions
- Accurately cook orders in a quick and efficient manner
- Bake pizza pies in a high-temperature oven to ensure they are cooked to brand standard provided in PIE.ZAA Recipe Book
- Keep station clean and sanitary during service
- Ensure all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use
- Keep oven clean and free of debris
- Monitor temperatures of oven, cooler, walk-in cooler and sauces
Food Preparation - Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Supervising food and cooling-process temperatures according to food and sanitation regulations.
- Follow recipes accurately and consistently to maintain the quality and consistency of menu items
- Responsible and safety-conscious use of dangerous tools such as knives, dough mixer, oven, stock pot, etc.
Skills
Food Production - Knowledge of techniques and equipment for preparing food in a professional kitchen, including storage/handling techniques.
