Job Overview

The Lakes Bar & Grill on Lake Madison is hiring a part-time cook / kitchen assistant to help in our fast-paced restaurant kitchen. This is a great fit for someone with experience as a line cook, prep cook, kitchen helper, or food prep worker, but we are also willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Pay:
$15–$19 per hour, depending on experience and availability.
Schedule:
Part-time hours. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is a big plus. Flexible scheduling available.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Help with food prep, chopping, portioning, plating, and stocking
• Assist other cooks during busy service times
• Keep prep areas, equipment, and workstations clean and organized
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Support the kitchen team wherever needed during rushes

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen, line cook, prep cook, or restaurant experience is helpful but not required
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Team-focused with a positive attitude
