Responsibilities

  • Preparation (chop/dice/peel) and assembly (measure/portion/build) of ingredients accurately according to recipe guidelines for consistent, quality food every time
  • Basic cooking for prepping par-cooked items or sauce making
  • Setup and organization of the kitchen: opening the kitchen, putting away orders, sanitizing/cleaning prep areas for use by other kitchen staff
  • Ensure proper food labeling, storage, and rotation to keep products fresh and prevent excess waste
  • Perform other kitchen duties as needed, such as washing dishes or supporting other kitchen staff

Skills

  • Time management and task execution are key to completing daily prep list requirements created by the Kitchen Manager and ensuring the line has proper stock for daily service
  • Kitchen safety knowledge to maintain sanitary and safe food preparation, storage, and service according to health guidelines and requirements
  • Knowledgeable in standard kitchen equipment usage and proper knife skills/safety
  • Ability to stand, move, and lift 50+ lbs
