A Scooter’s Coffee Barista is responsible for delivering fast, friendly, and consistent service while preparing high‑quality beverages according to Scooter’s standards. Baristas create an energetic, welcoming environment, maintain cleanliness, and support smooth store operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service — Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and maintain a positive, upbeat atmosphere.
  • Drink Preparation — Prepare espresso drinks, smoothies, and specialty beverages following Scooter’s recipes and quality standards.
  • Drive‑Thru Operations — Operate the headset, manage the window, and maintain speed of service during peak times.
  • Cash Handling — Process transactions, handle cash responsibly, and maintain register accuracy.
  • Product Knowledge — Understand menu items, seasonal offerings, and ingredients to answer customer questions confidently.
  • Cleanliness & Sanitation — Follow health‑code standards, clean workstations, wash equipment, and maintain a tidy store environment.
  • Team Collaboration — Work closely with fellow baristas and leads to keep operations smooth and efficient.
  • Inventory Support — Restock supplies, rotate product, and communicate shortages to leads or managers.
  • Brand Representation — Model Scooter’s values, energy, and hospitality in every interaction.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Communication Skills — Ability to interact clearly and positively with customers and teammates.
  • Multitasking — Handle multiple orders, tasks, and customer interactions at once.
  • Attention to Detail — Ensure drink accuracy, cleanliness, and consistency.
  • Adaptability — Stay calm and efficient during rushes or unexpected challenges.
  • Basic Math — Needed for cash handling and portioning ingredients.
  • Customer‑Focused Mindset — Prioritize guest satisfaction and friendly service.

Job Details

  • Pay- $11.00 hr + tips
  • Hours- Part time, weekends, holidays
  • Benefits- Shift drink, cash and credit card tips, shirt and apron, employee discount, half off one food item on shift, flexible schedule.
  • Physical Setting- Coffee shop
  • We are open from 6 am to 8 pm 7 days a week.
