Job Overview

Restaurant Associates are high-energy team players who serve our customers and produce the finest quality product. Each workday may vary; mid shifts and closing shifts, weekday and weekend shifts, holidays, or even the length of the shift may affect the tasks performed. Your shifts will be challenging, fun, and likely different from the previous shift! Typical duties include greeting guests as they enter the restaurant in a courteous manner. Take reservations or put guests on wait lists. Provide menus and show guests to their seats. Take phone orders and assist with bussing and resetting tables.
Requirements:

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position safely while meeting productivity standards
  • Able to stand and/or walk entire shift
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Occasional bending and twisting
  • Must be 15 years or older. All minors are required to provide authorization to work. Due to Ohio Minor Labor Laws, minors under 16 have restricted work duties and working hours. Minors aged 16 - 17 have restricted working hours.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include:Being the first person guests interact with when they enter the building, and setting the tone for a memorable experience.
  • Maintaining the flow of tables and seating servers in a fair and workable order
  • Answering the phones in a friendly manner, and assisting guests with their questions
  • Assisting guests with any issues they may have with their wait time
  • Taking and managing walk-in and reservation based information, and managing the wait list.
  • Assist all other staff with their duties as well.
  • Build relationships with guests and make sure their expectations are exceeded.
  • Run food and drinks
  • Keep tables/bartop clean.
  • Complete side work in order to keep the restaurant prepared for shifts including various cleaning, stocking, and rolling silverware.
