Baker
Tous Les Jours Baymeadows
9810 Baymeadows Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32256, USAJob Overview
Tous Les Jours is a French-Asian inspired bakery café with over 110 locations across the United States and 1,700+ worldwide. We bake everything fresh in-store every day — artisan breads, pastries, fresh cream cakes, and handcrafted beverages made with premium ingredients. Our Jacksonville location is operated by Kaifan Hospitality, an independent restaurant group that takes hospitality seriously and invests in its people.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Baker to join our production team. You’ll be responsible for baking the beautiful, fresh-baked breads, pastries, and savory items that fill our display cases before the doors open every morning. This means thawing, shaping, molding, proofing, baking, and finishing — all to the brand’s exact standard.
Your job is the finishing process: perfect shapes, proper proofing, correct bake times, and consistent presentation. We’ll train you on TLJ’s specific products. What we can’t teach is reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine pride in producing beautiful work.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily bread and pastry production — prepping dough, shaping, molding, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing to TLJ standards.
- Maintain consistent quality and presentation across all products, every day.
- Manage production timing so all items are ready before store opening.
- Receive and organize ingredient deliveries using FIFO rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment at all times.
- Monitor product quality and flag any issues to the Kitchen Manager.
Skills
- Baking experience preferred but not required — you won’t be making dough from scratch. If you can follow a process precisely and take pride in consistent results, we’ll train you.
- Comfortable with early morning shifts (4:00–5:00am starts). This is non-negotiable.
- Detail-oriented — every croissant, every loaf, every pastry has to meet the standard.
- Reliable and punctual. If you’re not here, the cases don’t get filled.
- Able to stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs, and work in a warm kitchen environment.
- Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
Benefits
- Competitive pay based on experience.
- A real skill — learn professional bakery production techniques you’ll carry for life.
- Growth path to Lead Baker or production leadership as the business grows.
- Free bakery items and employee discounts.
- A team that respects the craft and each other.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply with your resume. Tell us briefly: Do you have any baking or food production experience, and are you comfortable with early morning shifts? That’s all we need to start.
