Host —

The Host is responsible for creating a welcoming first and last impression for every guest. This position manages the flow of the dining room, greets and seats guests, manages reservations and the waitlist, answers phone calls, and communicates closely with servers and management to ensure smooth service.
Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and the guest waitlist.
• Seat guests according to the floor plan and server rotation.
• Maintain an organized and balanced seating flow throughout service.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist with reservations and general questions.
• Communicate special requests, celebrations, allergies, and other important guest information to the appropriate team members.
• Keep the host stand and entrance clean, organized, and presentable.
• Provide accurate wait-time estimates and communicate delays professionally.
• Assist guests with takeout pickup and other front-of-house needs when necessary.
• Communicate table status and seating needs with servers, bussers, and management.
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and polished appearance and attitude.
• Assist with opening and closing host duties.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and involve a manager when appropriate.
  Qualifications: Strong communication and customer-service skills, professional appearance, ability to stay organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
