Position: KITCHEN MANAGER
Position Overview:
The Kithcen Manager will follow primary duties of cook and also is responsible for the overall operations in the kitchen. Duties include ordering food, preparing menus/specials and monitoring staff.
The Cook is responsible for prepping and preparing food in accordance with Company recipes and standards. Must be well organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective communication skills and deliver excellent customer service.
Full-Time or Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Follows recipes in accordance with Company standards
· Prepare and serve all food items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
· Sets up service units and prep cook stations with needed items. Maintain and break down as appropriate
· Ensure that assigned work area and equipment are clean and sanitary according to Company standards as well as state and local health and safety regulations
· Cover, date and neatly store all leftover products that are re-usable
· Assist in food preparation, help put away deliveries, cleaning coolers, freezers and storage rooms as needed
· Ensuring that kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
· Perform side work, and end of shift duties as assigned
· Attend staff meetings as requested
· Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
· High School required, must be 18 or older
· 1-year experience in Food & Beverage required
· All Servers are required to take Learn2Serve Training for Food Handling prior to or within 30 days of employment
· Demonstrate quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including evenings and weekends
· Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations
